Struggles in life

Hello visitors, 

it has been 4 years since my last post. It seems like every 3 to 4 years I will just randomly open my blog and start writing. 😯

I actualy like to write stuff, but I am just shy and really afraid of what people will think after they have read, but in reality nobody really cares, right? Haha! 

It's the Spotlight Effect.

That's okay, I am slowly overcoming it now. 4 years ago (2017),  I was still a naive dental student, loves to travel and has a boyfriend studying in Melbourne. Today, I am working in a Dental Specialist Clinic and also a part time Digital Marketer. 

I can't deny, majority of my peers are envious of my half-half job and passion lifestyle. A lot ask me why too. Well, the answer is not clear but one thing for sure is I just can't do one thing at a time! I love treating patients and transform them from a average smile to a smile that they feel confident about. 

Since we are taking about this, let me show you some of my recent work! 

This beautiful lady came with complaints about her front teeth not meeting each other. With her condition, she is unable to proceed with braces. Hence, 6 units of ceramic veneers for a beautiful lady to restore her confidence!  

Ceramic veneers in simple words are stiff and hard materials that are placed permanently on a patient's teeth to improve the overall aesthetic, smile and sometimes bite.

They typically do not chip off easily and they last for 15-20 years!

Transformation looks easy, but it is hella lot of work, but it is worth it in the end. 😍

In short, the procedure starts from consultation, to check if you are suitable or not. Followed by smile record, where a mould or scans of your teeth is taken and photographs (LOTS of photographs).

After that, a Digital Smile Design procedure is done.
(Which basically a fancy term for desining your smile using a computer software 😂)

After that, the design will be printed out just like in this photo!

Of course it doesn't just end there. After that a mock up will be done.

A mock up is basically a "testing" a "trial", just like if you buy cloths, you can try the fitting.

Ceramic veneers are meant to last 15-20 years inside your mouth! Of couse you HAVE to try them on, and like it first right? 😂

After tons of adjustment, or sometimes minor adjustment,

your teeth is ready to be preped! 

Oh, yes. For ceramic veneers, averagely 0.5mm of your teeth has to be shaved to accomodate the veneers, otherwise they will look superbulky. (Dentist's stuff)

As a patient, you need to undetstand what your dentist is doing, and just lie down comfortably on the dental chair, and sleep 💤

After we are done, TADAAA. 

Isn't she so much more confident as before? She is a lovely lovely patient.

 Well, if you ask me what happens after those golden twenty years? The most common thing will happen is discolouration and sometimes chipping OR you might be very good in taking care of them and they last you a lifetime.

If you wish, you can replace them with a new set to suit your age too.

So lets get back to the topic! At the same time, I like doing marketing for brands, and perhaps one day, for my own brand too. 😍 For Digital Marketer, I am a content creator / Facebook media buyer / Video scriptwriter for a local health supplement brand. I shall not reveal it HEHE.

I love both jobs and leaving is not what I would like at the moment, but sometimes the struggles to juggle both heavy work that are totally different is quite difficult. I am often exhausted, burn out and lost in my life, wondering when will I finally 'figuring it out'.

That's okay, I have to be strong.
